Artist Statement: This is yet another quilt from my ‘partitioned circles’ file; this one consists of 10 wedges. This design had a working title of ‘Think of a good name and write it here’. After it was finished -- still nameless -- I was thinking of it while reading in Jeremiah 41 and of such happenings are titles born.

Dedication: This quilt’s title alludes to assassins but the quilt itself is dedicated to all those who write devotional materials. I use and appreciate Concordia’s ‘Portals of Prayer’ for daily devotions but there are many others – for all Christian denominations – that are comparable.
