Materials/Techniques: Mother of pearl heart buttons, 8 pointed star flower, cotton, machine pieced and quilted, and I used the Magic Star 8 ruler to make the flower.

Artist Statement: I choose the color fuchsia for the flower because it is a color that encourages and uplifts the spirit in a time of stress.
