Materials/Techniques: Commercial cottons, machine pieced, appliqued, and quilted. The batting is heavy Pellon so the quilt won't sag.

Artist Statement: East central Texas had horrendous wildfires in in September. I live in an "Extreme Wildfire Danger" area, and spent the month worrying about the 60+ acres of very dry woods behind my house. Making "wildfire" quilts helped calm me.
