8721 - Hers, Mine, and Ours Too

Materials/Techniques: This little quilt is composed of cotton fabric, cotton batting, cotton thread, an antique button (Ethel Du Bose sewed all her life and left my daughter and I many button treasures) and new decorative plastic buttons.

Artist Statement: My daughter, Dawn-Rene Tomlinson and I each made a quilt. After a day of sewing we set the two quilts aside to finish “later”, and later turned into months and months. When we picked them up again, neither of us could remember whose was whose. As we were finishing our quilts we realized that she had finished my quilt and I had finished hers! So "Hers, Mine, and Ours" had to be the name for both quilts.

Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to the memory of Ethel C. Du Bose, mother, grandmother, and friend.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
