Designer: Kathy Mack, Quilting Arts Magazine, Gifts 2009/2010.Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton, batting, and thread. Machine paper pieced and quilted, antique buttons.
Artist Statement: I have purchased an AAQI Quilt (or 3) every year since my Grandmother passed away. I wanted to put something out in the world that she would love. She always bought Barbie dolls for me for Christmas (even as a 30+ year old). The colors make me think of a Barbie tree. My mother and I each made one BUT . . . in the time between piecing and quilting we forgot which one we did. I ended up quilting "Hers" and she quilted "Mine" so they are now "Ours". My Grandmother would have loved it! I hope you will as well. Love and Hugs to ALL!
Dedication: In memory of my BELOVED Grandmother Ethel DuBose.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $55 for the AAQI.
