Materials/Techniques: All cotton fabric and batting, machine pieced and quilted. I purposely washed the quilt after making it to give it a "crinkly" look.

Artist Statement: My mother loved the colors of fall. She also loved diamonds!

Dedication: This little quilt is dedicated to my mother, Doris Austin Hays, a wonderful educator, writer, storyteller and the "very best grandmother." She was taken from us too early by Alzheimer's.
