Artist Statement: The scattered pieces of fabric remind me of my mother's thoughts at the onset of her Alzheimer’s journey.

Dedication: This little quilt is dedicated to my mother, Doris Austin Hays, a wonderful educator, writer, storyteller and the "very best grandmother." She was taken from us too early by Alzheimer's.
