Materials/Techniques: Fusible appliqué, tulle, foil, sequin stars, beads, free motion quilting.

Artist Statement: Looking at a night sky full of stars always brings a smile to my face. I cut colorful, shiny foil wrappers into circles to represent stars in the Milky Way. Tulle became trails of dust and gas in the spiral arms. A sparkly black fabric from the scrap box (which I only later realized was fusible interfacing) made the background for the galaxy.
