Materials/Techniques: Cotton triangles joined in "windmill" shapes, with buttons at the centers of the "'vanes." Machine-quilted and bound with a bias-cut seasonal fabric. The red buttons are BGE originals.
Artist Statement: Several readers of the magazine "Good Old Days" responded generously to a request for fabric and buttons for making AAQI quilts. In making this quilt, I was happy to use fabric from Doris Messimer of Texas and Joan Fiskal of Oregon, and buttons from Peggy Hinton of North Carolina and Jean Butler of Ohio.
