Materials/Techniques: In a charm quilt, every piece comes from a different fabric. All of these blocks came from fabric given to me by Jean Becker of Wisconsin, so I have named it after her. I have arranged these so that they say "JOY." The backing fabric was given to me by Kathy Yates of Colorado and machine-quilted.

Artist Statement: My sister-in-law tells me that she has a JOY quilt hanging over her sewing machine because sewing gives her such joy. I like the idea of putting different fabrics together so that they harmonize (at least from a distance!).
