Materials/Techniques: A cotton print with colorful flowers was machine quilted. Part of a poem written by Dorothy Frances Gurney in 1913 was printed on an ink-jet printer and transferred to fabric. Daisy-shaped buttons were embellished with French knots.
Artist Statement: I love flowers, and I have always liked Dorothy Gurney's verse. I am grateful to Ruth Paredes of Washington, Jean Becker of Wisconsin, Oleta Bright of Arkansas, Richard Dusen of New York, and Sylvia Rosenshine of Virginia for giving me the fabrics used to make this AAQI quilt.
