Width: 11" Length: 7.75"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics with machine quilting. Silhouettes reminiscent of the children on school crossing signs were machine-appliquéd.
Artist Statement: I was inspired by the fabric given to me by Elizabeth Minnis of Oklahoma, which contains many little symbols of school days. I started this quilt around Labor Day, when children were returning to school. I am grateful to Carol Vance of Indiana and Artha Keeter of North Carolina for donating other fabrics used in making this AAQI quilt.

Dedication: In honor of teachers, who still welcome students to school with the kindness and dedication of the "good old days."
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
