Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, machine-quilted, silhouettes are hand-appliquéd.

Artist Statement: Tammy Smith of Indiana gave me the whales fabric. Elizabeth Minnis of Oklahoma gave me the waves fabric used for the fast-finish triangles. These are lovely fabrics! The whales already were cut into blocks, so I put them in an aquarium and added a couple of visitors.

Dedication: In memory of Lloyd David Sykes, husband of Jo Sykes. He suffered from Alzheimer's before his death in 2002 and is greatly missed.
