Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics with a marble design, six blocks, mostly stars, are arranged with quilted lines surrounding them.

Artist Statement: Several months ago I made the blocks and arranged them in a setting that just didn't look right at all. Although I quilted and bound it, it went into the drawer with the other rejects. However, I kept thinking about it and finally took it out, cut off the binding, undid the quilting and freed the blocks. Rearranging the blocks and making the strips surrounding the top star, I quilted it with lines that reminded me of the Art Deco look of the 1930's.
