Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics with the print setting the color scheme and quilted with clear thread.

Artist Statement: I started out this quilt with thoughts of what I knew as the Christmas Star block. When I researched a little, I found in The Quilter's Album of Patchwork Patterns by Jinny Beyer that the design was published with that name by Hinson in 1973. But much earlier the block had been called Best of All, attributed to Clara Stone and published by Practical Needlework Co. in 1906. Since my rendition didn't have a holiday look, I found another name for the quilt.
