Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, pieced checkerboard border. The star is traditionally pieced in two shades of red and quilted with clear thread.

Artist Statement: Red, white and black is a common color combination. This quilt with marbled white/gold, set off by a charcoal/beige print and a darkish red print with lipstick red is close to that color combination.
