Materials/Techniques: Cotton, machine pieced and quilted. The silver metallic thread is anchored every inch or so, but otherwise hangs from the quilt.

Artist Statement: Joe and I were married later in life. I knew my father-in-law would never know me. It was sadder yet when he no longer recognized Joe. Sam did make me hide my giggles when he would ask some most unusual questions. I wish I could have known the true Sam.
