Materials/Techniques: Slow cloth techniques including, hand quilting, hand embroidery, Kantha stitches, raw edge applique. Includes hand dyed fabrics, re-purposed clothing, cotton and linen materials. The edge is enclosed with a facing. This is an original design inspired by the work of Jude Hill.

Artist Statement: I was experimenting with a method of cutting and folding fabric to make a sun shape. This came together quickly despite the hand stitching involved and immediately made me think of the sun here in the high desert of Central Oregon.
