Materials/Techniques: I was experimenting with Ricky Tims' "caveman" techniques using cotton fabrics and lame'. Embellishment includes Angelina fibers and a variety of threads and yarns attached with invisible thread. The quilting is done in free motion.

Artist Statement: Living near the Smoky Mountains I am always moved by the gentle hills visible in the distance. This piece was designed with those hills in mind.

Dedication: Both my mother and my sister died with Alzheimer's Disease. Peaceful scenery always reminds me of them. I find a lot of comfort in seeing the mountains in the distance, whether I am at home or on the road.

This quilt has a Split Sleeve.
