Width: 9" Length: 12"
Designer: Karen Linduska from her book, Your Machine's Decorative Stitches, pages 34-41, ©2011, used with written permission.
Materials/Techniques: This semi-abstract quilt uses multiple machine decorative stitches of various colors of rayon threads on a neutral ground. The lower part is a darker green. a twisted yarn/thread combination divides the two grounds. Five small flowers with button centers complete the quilt. It is bordered with red to compliment the red flowers.
Artist Statement: WILD can be interpreted many different ways. In its best connotation it means 'thinking out of the box'. This quilt, inspired by Karen Linduska, is a bit on the wild side. People suffering from Alzheimer's also think on the wild side - but in midst of wildness is beauty and love.
