Materials/Techniques: Fabrics are cotton from a sampler of 2 1/2" strips, traditionally pieced and lightly quilted.

Artist Statement: I started with a main 4 1/2" block, added a row of 1 x 1/2" pieced blocks, four 1/4"strips made into a border with pieced cornerstones, and finished with a floral outer border and binding. After the initial block it just grew, much like volunteer flowers in a garden.
