Materials/Techniques: This antique flower garden block is hand quilted, appliquéd, cotton fabric and cotton quilting thread.

Artist Statement: This fussy cut flower garden block is from my antique block collection. This piece is unique because of the accuracy of the cutting of the rose pieces. Half of the roses go in one direction and the others face the opposite direction. This square is appliquéd on to hand-dyed fabric, which was the only fabric that seemed to work with the old dyes used in the printing. For flower garden lovers, this is the mini quilt for you.
