Width: 12" Length: 9"
Materials/Techniques: Woven strips of silk charmeuse with tulle overlay, hand tied with decorative threads.
Artist Statement: When my neighbor gave me several boxes of silk charmeuse remnants, I saw it as a opportunity to try something different, to make an “un-quilt”, no piecing, applique or quilting. So I ripped strips, wove and tied. I like my routines, but sometimes they become ruts, and I get bogged down. I tried something different and was pleased with the results.

Dedication: With any disease, it’s easy to get bogged down. When my family realized my sister had Alzheimer’s, in order to help her and ourselves, we found we needed to learn to do things differently, and often ‘simpler’ was better. Alzheimer’s changes lives. This quilt is dedicated to those who help us through the quagmire.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
