Materials/Techniques: Whole cloth, hand quilted and embellished.

Artist Statement: The Silk Road is a term used to describe ancient trade routes between China, Central Asia and the West. Not only were goods traded, but there was also a cultural exchange of ideas. The silk used in this quilt came to me as a gift from friends, remnants from their projects. Using it set me on a path of discovery, never before having quilted with silk.
