Materials/Techniques: Traditional machine piecing with hand quilting using cotton fabrics.

Artist Statement: I use all sorts of leftover scraps for my mini quilts. How many there are and the colors available tell me what blocks or designs to use. These spoke--a Trip Around the World. Pieces are machine stitched together one at a time.

Dedication: To Viola, my country schoolteacher, who taught me to see beyond the confines of my rural life and to never judge a book by its cover.

This quilt has a Traditional Sleeve.
