Materials/Techniques: Sun print, silk ribbon embroidery and quilted with rayon thread. Butterflies are image transfers.

Artist Statement: This quilt was made in honor of Mary Lou Cowart, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, avid needle artist and quilter. She loved flowers especially bee balm and the butterflies and humming birds that visited them. She will be missed by all. Her needlepoint creations and quilts will be treasured for many years to come.
