Materials/Techniques: Hand-dyed fabric with metallic printed commercial fabric for the border. Metallic, cotton and silk thread for decorative stitching. For the heavily stitched image, I used a regular domestic sewing machine guided by hand.

Artist Statement: Alzheimer's disease is a thief; stealing the very essence of a person. It has stolen my dear friend Mozell Benson, once a quilter of national fame, now a barely "living" victim of this terrible disease.
