Materials/Techniques: I printed the picture of her Cavalier on 100 percent cotton. I then used acrylic paint, oil pastels and thread to highlight the Cavalier. I used clear polish to make her nose and eyes look shiny. Several layers of trapunto was used to give the three dimensional effect.

Artist Statement: King Charles’ Cavaliers are such noble and dignified animals. They have such expression of superiority, pensive, tolerance for humans, amusement and love in their faces. They make such great models for those of us who enjoy interpreting their thoughts.

Dedication: This quilt is donated to Laura's parents. Laura, being from South Africa, lives in the U.S. and had to cope with long distance parental care.
