Materials/Techniques: Raw edge appliqué with rayon thread painting.

Artist Statement: This quilt is based on a photo I took of an amaryllis I got to re-bloom. I carefully followed all instructions to accomplish the re-blooming by Christmas; however, the bulb had other ideas and didn't bloom until March.

Dedication: To all of those who, because of this disease, have lost their sense of time - just like my poor amaryllis bulb.
