Materials/Techniques: Cross dyed cotton and metallic fabric, osnaburg cotton muslin, Printed Treasures cotton computer printed fabric, silk organza overlay, cotton batting, Sulky rayon thread, and beads. Silk organza overlay is hand-stitched to computer printed patch. Patch is fused to osnaburg, and then fused to the base fabric. Glass beads for accents, and hand quilted.
Artist Statement: The last thing I remember... It's a technique we use to jog our memory...where did I put my car keys? The last thing I remember was... This phrase takes on a new meaning with Alzheimer's. As the stages of Alzheimer's progress, there are fewer and fewer memories as the mind unravels. If you could choose the last thing you remember, what would it be?
