7846 – Que Pasa, Baxter?

Designer: Amy Bradley is the designer. The pattern for Baxter was found on her web page: AmyBradleydesigns.com. She has given written permission for use of her pattern.

Materials/Techniques: Techniques used include: fused appliqué, hand embroidery using blanket stitch, pieced work on borders, machine quilting, button embellishment.

Artist Statement: Unfortunately, Alzheimer's is a devastating disease with no cure. Even more unfortunate is the number of people it affects. I am committed to "stitching for a cure" and will continue until a cure is found. Even so, we all need to find a reasons to smile and if Baxter makes you smile, I've succeeded!

Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to my father, Richard Anton Carlson, who lost his battle with Alzheimer’s July 23, 2011. Husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend, he was much loved and is missed.
