7832 – Out of the Box ($65)

Materials/Techniques: Two main color ways, turquoise and browns, a favorite of mine. The blocks are 1 1/2 inches with the four in the center sashed with tan colored fabric. Quilted with clear thread.

Artist Statement: The center was made first, sort of as an experiment, which grew. The narrow dark print border around the on point, sashed blocks reminded me of a box. More blocks set in the corner triangles were then "out of the box".

Dedication: To the Alzheimer’s researchers who must think "Out of the Box" to find relief and a cure from this dreaded condition.
