Materials/Techniques: Repurposed fabric, thread painting, markers.

Artist Statement: I love the beach and the ocean, and am very fortunate to live near the coast. Lots of my artwork, and especially my photography, feature scenes from the beach. In this small quilt, both the "water" and "sand" fabrics come from clothing found at thrift shops. The trunk of the palm tree is a velveteen fabric.
