Materials/Techniques: Raw-edged machine appliqué, cotton fabrics, beads, cotton batting.

Artist Statement: A hummingbird feeder is hung outside our bedroom glass sliding doors and we wake to the site of three or four hummingbirds taking their turn for breakfast. It's a wonderful way to wake up in the morning.

Dedication: To my mother, Elizabeth Cole, who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
