Materials/Techniques: This quilt design began on paper, doodling with Pitt pens, before it was printed on Printed Treasures and free-motion stitched. It features stencils made by Crafter's Workshop to lay the floral foundation.
Artist Statement: The spiral represents the disease, but the flowers superimposed over the spiral represent a joyous attitude by the maker. While one never recovers from dementia, a positive attitude is everything. Flowers can be so helpful in creating a temporary distraction for all.
Dedication: My father could enjoy lovely flowers long after he forgot who we were. We visited the local farmer's market and brought him flowers that he might have found in his own garden and he enjoyed those until he passed. These flowers are for him.
This quilt has a Plain Back.
This quilt earned $36.70 for the AAQI.
