Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics embellished with beads, crocheted & ribbon flowers, hand silk ribbon embroidery. Strips of cotton fabrics were woven together, machine quilted, and embellishments added.

Artist Statement: This was my first attempt at free motion machine quilting so please be kind. I added embellishments to give the piece more interest (and to hide some areas of quilting that left something to be desired). I loved these colors together and was happy to find a use for the tiny ribbon and crocheted flowers I couldn't resist buying at a recent quilt show.
