Materials/Techniques: The material is cotton and I chose to use an inserted strip block for the background which I recently learned. I wanted a lot of color but also simplicity for this appliquéd quilt. I used a small crocheted doily as part of the flower.

Artist Statement: Handwork as well as machine was used. This is my first quilt design and I enjoyed the process from start to finish.
