Designer: The designer of this quilt is Marje Rhine - from her placemat pattern - Get Set for Spring. Used with written permission.

Materials/Techniques: The shades of purple large iris, border, binding, stem, and leaves feature Batik fabrics on a shaded blue background. The iris are outlined with purple shiny Sliver thread. Stippled quilting on the background compliments the iris. The long side border and binding add a lovely dark purple frame.

Artist Statement: The suggested theme for July, occupations, inspired this quilt. I live on a farm with lots of garden and lawn space. Beautiful flowers brighten the two houses and garden much of the year.

Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to my Mom, husband, and all the gardeners that plant and care for flowers to brighten their own lives and the lives of others. A great way to honor the Lord's creation!
