Materials/Techniques: I photo transferred this beach scene taken by my husband, Richard Sparks, onto silk organza. The borders are from a hand-dyed raw silk. It is machine quilted with a wool batting and I needle felted wool roving and yarn into the corner.
Artist Statement: I love to use photographs taken by my husband in my quilts. This is a scene near our home.
Dedication: This is dedicated to the memory of my friend and colleague, Jean Vail. Alzheimer's destroyed her beautiful mind.
