Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton fabric, wool batting, hand appliqué, hand quilting.

Artist Statement: My best friend's mother is the end stage of Alzheimer's Disease. I have watched my friend deal with her mother's gradual deterioration. I made this quilt to celebrate her gracious and stressful struggle. Even when a heart is breaking, there is hope for happiness blooming in the future.
