Materials/Techniques: Central panel is a vintage piece cross-stitched with cotton thread on even weave linen. The crazy patch border is pieced with batik quilting cottons and the backing is also batik quilting cotton.

Artist Statement: I very much enjoy trying different techniques with the little art quilts for AAQI. I bought this cross-stitch already completed in Value Village and know nothing about the original maker other than he/she did very fine work. I wanted to make a quilt this time that would be suitable for display in a nursery or for gifting to a new family. For this purpose I surrounded the adorable cross stitch bears and verse with bright pastel pieces of fabric in a crazy quilt border.
