Artist Statement: After taking a workshop with Lisa Ellis I became intrigued with her method of making AAQI quilts. The batik fabric reminded me of the sea and I self-designed the quilt adding appliqued fish. I have a dear friend with Alzheimer's and want to support research into the disease.
