Materials/Techniques: I took leftover bits from another project, made smaller blocks for a background, and then added the machine appliquéd dog and saying. 100% cotton fabrics, Hobbs 80/20 batting, machine quilted, binding sewn by hand, more dogs on the back.

Artist Statement: I have two Labrador Retrievers, and there are times when I wonder just who is running the show! This Irish Setter looks so imperious that you just KNOW who the boss is here!

Dedication: For my Dad, who lost his battle with Alzheimer's December 14, 2010. He was a dog lover at heart, and always had a pooch or two. He is sorely missed.
