Width: 9" Length: 12"
Materials/Techniques: The technique, in which fabric is used to make a collage, was one featured on The Quilt Show, taught by Susan Carlson.
Artist Statement: The outline of the fish were drawn, then bits of fabric were tacked down with glue. Once the design was complete, a quilt sandwich was made, and then all the bits of fabric were stitched down to secure them.
Dedication: This quilt is dedicated to Mary, my mother, who has had Alzheimer's for several years. Her birthday is in March, so the fish were chosen to represent Pisces. Mary is still able to laugh, loves flowers, and responds with joy to music. She is the sweetest person I know.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $45 for AAQI.
