Materials/Techniques: Cotton and cotton blend squares of red, white, and blue. A star made with middy braid (Go Navy!). Hand quilted.

Artist Statement: I am fulfilling a "$1000 Promise" and making quilts of many different kinds. I have made a few of these pieced flags, and I enjoy seeing how the fabrics blend together, just as Americans of many sorts join together to make one country.
