Materials/Techniques: This is a hand-made Cathedral Windows quilt. I used some of my favorite cotton fabric, fussy-cutting letters of the alphabet that show Victorian children playing. A red border and blue buttons add to the cheerful design.
Artist Statement: I had always wanted to make a Cathedral Windows quilt, but they seemed so time-consuming. Turns out, they ARE. Nevertheless, I like the little windows and the "flower" design created by the window frames. This one makes me happy just to look at it, and I hope it works that way for others.

Dedication: In memory of the Ford twins, Beulah and Bertha, and their stories of a happy childhood in Richmond, Virginia.

This quilt earned $15.00 for the AAQI.
