Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics and batting, metallic and other threads, crazy-patch piecing.

Artist Statement: I had fun using crazy-patch piecing with Mary Lou Weidman's "Hoochy Mama" method of free form piecing. It's really a fun technique and I think my first bird turned out pretty cute! I also used Mary Lou's technique of fussy-cutting polka dot fabric to make the eye appliqué. You could display this on an easel or mail it as a postcard!
