Materials/Techniques: Paper piecing, photo transfer, thread painting and flange, commercial cottons, and hand painted fabrics.

Artist Statement: I took this photo of the iris in my yard this April. I knew it would be beautiful in a quilt. I thread painted the photo and then added paper pieced border and a flange.

Dedication: Donated in honor of my Grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer's. She gave me the gift of quilt making.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $60 for AAQI.
The original buyer of this quilt has graciously donated it back to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative so that it can raise even more money to fight Alzheimer's.
It has now earned another $60 for the AAQI to use in conquering this vile disease.
