Materials/Techniques: This quilt is a photo printed on fabric that has been slightly altered. I used cotton thread to do some thread painting. All of the fabric is cotton.

Artist Statement: When I first took this low angle photograph of wild flowers I thought they looked like spaceships taking off and when Aliens were suggested as a topic for this month's quilts it seemed destined. My son took the idea a little further and photo shopped in the little green man. He also came up with the title of the quilt - A Study in the Field of UFOs.
