7023 – Fish in the Sea

Materials/Techniques: A variety of cottons and chiffon with beading and metallic threads for emphasis. The entire quilt is hand stitched - no machine sewing!

Artist Statement: I saw the quilt show at the University of Massachusetts a couple of weeks ago. The volunteers were very dedicated. I have two dear women I cared about who suffered with Alzheimer’s and this seemed like a perfect way to honor them and raise funds for a great cause. I also liked that this program is served by volunteers and the money raised isn't wasted on high salaries for executive compensation!

Dedication: In memory of my sister-in-law, Eleanor Kinlock and in memory of a dear friend, Josephine Baldyga, two of the kindest ladies I have ever known.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $45 for AAQI.
